About Gold River Aquafarms
Gold River Aquafarms is a 3,000 MT land-based Steelhead farm, set to become the largest facility approved in Canada.
Our founders are experts in the groundbreaking technology of land-based Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS), having developed facilities that employ these systems around the world.
Our decades in the fish farming industry gave us the insight and experience to build Gold River Aquafarms into the most sustainable model of land-based farming system that exists today; one that offers unparalleled productivity while eliminating negative impacts on wild fish populations and sensitive ecosystems. Our highly controlled growing environment is void of all antibiotics, added hormones, GMOs, microplastics, pesticides, and pollution.
The legacy infrastructure that comes with our Gold River location, a former pulp and paper mill, in tandem with our close proximity to the commercial markets of Vancouver means that we can give a new ecological purpose to an existing commercial site. We’re looking forward to delivering the highest quality fish from farm to fork while minimizing our carbon footprint.
